Three lessons we learned over the past year
Let’s start with a big heartfelt THANK YOU for an amazing 2021. Who would’ve thought that The Organized would be more than thriving during a pandemic?
This year came with its challenges, that’s for sure, but most importantly it came with its lessons: some of which we will share with you today.
Your space is sacred.
Organizing your physical space has such a big impact on your mental space and your family’s health. Time and time again we go to organize a home, and what we find is that our clients love how their family has kept up with the systems our team has implemented, whereas they previously wanted to have no part in the upkeep of their home. We go in to organize clutter, and peace of mind finds our clients. Our raving reviews have been a big testament to that.
Spending more time at home has definitely proved that having an organized home is a top priority for your mind, body, and soul. The joy that comes from organizing one space overflows into other areas of the home, and even life in general.
2. Our team is growing!
We learned that to help you best, we have to hire the best. And with a growing demand for our services, we’ve been expanding. The team has continuously grown during the course of the year, and each team member is so important to our family.
Some of you have already met some of our team members during your home organization sessions, and we will introduce them formally in an upcoming post. They all have their own specialty, their own drive, and are super passionate about organizing your homes. It’s been so much fun coming to work with an energizing team!
In 2022 you’ll be able to request your favourite organizers, giving you a personalized approach.
3. Learning to serve you best
In order to serve you best and be as efficient as possible when we come into your home, we have to start considering the amount of planning that goes into each space, the amount of team members that are present during the organizing session to maximize your return as quickly as possible, and the materials that help us organize your space.
Every client’s needs are different and to meet those varying needs, we’re introducing two different service models.
Rates will remain the same for our “Organizing On Demand” services, where we come at your request and organize your space as best we can in the time we have, leaving the session with suggestions and recommendations for moving forward.
Our “Organizing By Design” services are more comprehensive.
Our workflow for this approach consists of: a personal consultation with Laura where she will measure every part of the space and prepare a design plan, a customized quote, sourcing of all materials, organizing your space, implementing the systems to keep you organized, custom high-end labels for everything, plus a free maintenance session a month later.
There’s so much behind-the-scenes work that our clients don’t see. Sourcing project materials often takes an entire day of work, between searching and buying online, to picking up items in person, and sometimes we even have some returns that we have to ship back or drive back to the store. And that’s just one part of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into each space we organize, don’t get us started on how much time we spend making custom labels!
With that being said, and with the support and understanding from you, all of this work is now taken into account in the cost of your Organized by Design projects. If you have an existing project proposal, we will honour those outstanding quotes (in their original form) until the end of January 2022.
If you have a pending project that you’ve been putting off and received a proposal for, book it without further delay to ensure we can fit you in before the end of January 2022.
2021 has been one for the books!
